The sizes used by Zimmermann clothing are pretty simple to review. The original chart consisted of a simple 0,1,2 and 3. Recently, in response to popular demand, additional sizes were introduced to accommodate a bigger range of body shapes. I think it’s wonderful that they are embracing body positivity in all shapes and sizes. OP for petite, and a plus size 4 have recently been added to the mix. These numbers translate easily into sizes adopted in many countries. Moving from these basic Zimmermann sizing conversion standards, you can then convert these sizes to those adopted in your country. Australian sizing is the same as UK sizing, then there is USA sizing, European (same as French sizing), and also Italian. Safe to say, if you are out hunting for the perfect size, you should find it.

In my personal opinion there are a few considerations to take into account when purchasing on a Zimmermann sale. Here are some of my personal recommendations:
- Inspect the material and structure of the garment. Does it contain boning? Where does it fit and where is it loose? The more structured it is, the smaller it will run.
- Have a look if the material composition. Does it contain elastane? This will mean it stretches to fit, you have more room to move
- I do find that swimwear runs on the smaller side. If in-between, size up.
- If the shoe has a pointy toe - size up, often these shoes run short.
- If you can’t decide - size up, it's safer. It is easier and possible to alter a garment smaller.
Same sizes can vary from brand to brand. I can be a Zimmermann size 1 in one brand an Australian12 in another. To solve this conundrum, the chart below is based on specific body measurements. How to authenticate your Zimmermann Purchase

The founders are two glamorous sisters Nicole and Simone Zimmermann who began their business in their parent’s home garage! Where is Zimmermann made?
Most of Zimmermann’s ready-to-wear lines are designed in Australia, yet manufactured in China. It is often a source of confusion when ascertaining Zimmermann authenticity. Just because it states it was manufactured in China, doesn’t mean you are purchasing a fake.
